Sightseeing tour + Lunch Time + Podil – the best attractions of Kiev.

It is a mix of Old Town Tour, Podil Tour and Lunch time for the fullest immersion in Kiev life.

Walking Full Day Tour with all key sights of Kiev:

The National Opera House, The Golden Gates,  St. Michael’s Cathedral, St. Sophia’s Cathedral, The St. Andrew’s Church, Khreschatyk Street, The Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti) with the story of our revolutions.

After 3 hours of walking we will allocate the time for your lunch at the best Ukrainian cuisine restaurant where you will be able to hear about the history and traditions of Ukrainian cuisine. (Lunch is not included in price)

Then we will сontinue our tour with Podol neighborhood, go down to the river, explore the oldest Kiev district, where the oldest university is located and merchants in ancient times held fairs on the Kontraktova Square.

Information on prices:

Full Day Tour duration is 6 hours: within 3,5 hours you take a private tour of the sights in the city center, 1.5 hours is allocated  for your lunch to taste Ukrainian dishes and 1 hour of Podil area to see the river. To learn more about the tour, click on the Tour Plan tab.

The cost of the tour:

  • 2 persons – € 50 per person
  • 3 persons – € 40 per person
  • 4 persons – € 35 per person
  • 5 persons – € 32 per person
  • 6 persons – € 29 per person
  • 7 persons – € 27 per person
  • 8 persons – € 25 per person

We accept payment in EUR, as well as in USD and UAH at the exchange rate at the time of payment.

Please note that the price includes:

  • – pick up from your accommodation,
  • – services of private English-speaking guide.

Transportation during the tour, tickets to museums and lunch are not included in the price.

Local guides enter many attractions free of charge, but where you require your guide to accompany you into any attractions, you may be asked to cover the guide’s costs as well as your own.

After 6 hours, each additional hour of the private guide services is €17.

The Golden Gates

Your acquaintance with the city will start from The Golden Gates. It was the main gate in the 11th-century fortifications of Kiev, the capital of Kievan Rus'. The name ‘Golden Gates’ originates from the beauty of this building and not from the material it is made of.

The National Opera House

The National Opera House  is a gem of Ukrainian and Russian culture that houses professional ballet and opera performances in the heart of Kiev. The theater has been given a certain fatalistic aura. That kind of aura is a must for any outstanding opera stage of the world. Find out more during the tour!

Maidan Nezalezhnosti

Then guide will show you the main street of the city – Khreschatyk. It stretches from the European Square to Bessarabska Square. You will hear the history of Maidan Nezalezhnosti which has been the traditional place for political rallies, including large-scale radical protest campaigns: the 2004 Orange Revolution and the 2013–14 Euromaidan.

St. Sophia's Cathedral

Discover St. Sophia's Cathedral as one of the city's best known landmarks and the first heritage site in Ukraine to be inscribed on the World Heritage List along with the Kiev Cave Monastery complex.

St. Michael's Cathedral

The next stop is Michael's Cathedral. The grandson of Yaroslav the Wise, Prince Sviatopolk, founded the cathedral in the early 12th century. It is named in honor of St. Michael - the protector of Kyiv.

St. Andrew’s Church

After that, your guide will take you to the beautiful St. Andrew’s Church, built in 18th century in Baroque style. It stands on the high hill and you will enjoy the panorama of the city from this part.

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv

Taras Shevchenko National University is ranked among TOP 500 universities in the world (QS Ranking) and established in 1834, it has a rich historical background dating back to around 200 years. Was ranked one of the best 3 Universities in the USSR and today ranked one of the Top 50 Europe.

You will taste Ukrainian cuisine dishes: hearty borsch with pampushki (garlic buns), dumplings or vareniki, salo, ukrainian pickles.

Podil neighborhood

Today Podil district is the main cultural center of Kiev that attracts residents and tourists with beautiful architecture, historical monuments and bohemian atmosphere. It has retained its original charm and has become more comfortable and attractive for life in recent years.

    An excellent tour. Kate combined historical information about Kiev with amusing stories and personal reflections. A great combination, so that we all enjoyed this walk despite a drizzle that never quite stopped. Good job)
